Florida County Renames Road ‘President Donald J. Trump Boulevard’

Florida officials rename key Palm Beach roadway as “President Donald J. Trump Boulevard,” drawing praise from Trump.

Palm Beach County Approves Honorary Road Renaming

Palm Beach County, Florida, has voted unanimously to rename a prominent four-mile section of Southern Boulevard in honor of President Donald Trump. The newly designated “President Donald J. Trump Boulevard” stretches from Palm Beach International Airport to the Mar-a-Lago resort, Trump’s private residence and frequent gathering place for supporters and officials.

The Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners approved the resolution Tuesday, marking a symbolic gesture that highlights Trump’s enduring popularity in the state. The renaming follows recent state legislation, signed by Governor Ron DeSantis, directing the Florida Department of Transportation to erect signage marking the new honorary name.

“It has been brought to my attention that the Great State of Florida, which I won BIG three times, and where I am a proud Resident, has renamed an important four-mile stretch of Southern Boulevard, in Palm Beach County, to ‘PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP BOULEVARD,’” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “Thank you to Palm Beach County, Governor Ron DeSantis, and all of Florida’s great State Lawmakers, on granting me this wonderful honor! I LOVE FLORIDA!”

Ceremonial Recognition, No Address Changes

While the new signs will be installed later this year, officials clarified that the renaming is ceremonial. Postal addresses, navigation systems, and emergency services will continue to use the name Southern Boulevard, ensuring no disruption to local residents or businesses.

The legislation also provides for another section of the road to be named “PBSO Motorman Highway,” in memory of three Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office motorcycle deputies killed in a crash last year, further cementing the county’s commitment to recognizing local and national figures.

Trump, who is a longtime resident of Palm Beach and maintains strong political and personal ties to Florida, enthusiastically welcomed the news and expressed gratitude for the honor. The decision underscores the state’s ongoing connection to the president, who has called Florida his home through multiple election cycles.

As the new signs are set to go up later in the year, Palm Beach County’s recognition adds to the growing list of public spaces nationwide named after Trump, reflecting both his influence and the support he continues to enjoy among Floridians.
