Iran Vows Strikes on US Bases If Attacked
Iran's Defense Minister Aziz Nasirzadeh has issued a stern warning, declaring that any military action by the United States or Israel will be met with forceful retaliation. Speaking on state television, Nasirzadeh stated, “If we are attacked or war is imposed on us, we will respond with force. We will attack their interests and their bases, and we will not consider any considerations or restrictions in this regard.”
The declaration underscores Iran’s increasingly defiant stance amid growing geopolitical tensions in the region. The defense minister emphasized that any aggression would trigger a comprehensive military response, targeting US military assets and regional interests.
This warning came shortly after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced plans for retaliatory action following a missile strike near Israel's main international airport. Netanyahu explicitly pointed to the Houthis and their Iranian “masters” as responsible for the attack and indicated that Israel would coordinate its response with the United States.
The incident has fueled fears of wider conflict in the region, particularly given the volatile alignment of actors involved. Iran’s direct threat to US military installations heightens the possibility of a military escalation, as both sides continue to exchange rhetorical and strategic signals.
As of now, no official response has been made by US President Donald Trump's administration regarding Iran’s statement. However, the situation remains fluid, and any miscalculation could potentially ignite a larger regional conflict. Analysts are watching closely as diplomatic channels remain strained and military readiness intensifies on multiple fronts.
