Rubio, EU FMs Discuss Ukraine Ceasefire Plan

United States Secretary of State Marco Rubio engaged in discussions with European foreign ministers to chart a path toward a ceasefire and lasting peace in Ukraine. According to the US State Department, the high-level call focused on identifying strategies to halt hostilities and establish a framework for diplomatic negotiations.

Participants in the multilateral discussion included French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot, German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul, Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski, British Foreign Secretary David Lammy, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha, and European Union High Representative Kaja Kallas.

The ministers exchanged views on how to best support Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity while addressing the broader security challenges posed by the ongoing conflict.
