U.S. Lawmakers Back Israel Strike on Iran

Fetterman, Graham, and Trump urge full U.S. support for Israel amid escalating Iran conflict and nuclear tensions.

Senator John Fetterman of Pennsylvania publicly endorsed Israel’s military campaign against Iran on Thursday, calling on the United States to provide comprehensive support including military equipment, intelligence, and weapons. His statement emphasized unwavering backing for the U.S. ally as it targets Iranian leadership and nuclear infrastructure.

“Our commitment to Israel must be absolute and I fully support this attack. Keep wiping out Iranian leadership and the nuclear personnel. We must provide whatever is necessary—military, intelligence, weaponry—to fully back Israel in striking Iran,” Fetterman posted on social media platform X.

The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs shared Fetterman’s remarks, signaling appreciation from Israel’s government. House Speaker Mike Johnson also voiced support for Israel, stating unequivocally, “Israel IS right—and has a right—to defend itself!”

Calls for Retaliation if Iran Targets U.S.

Senator Lindsey Graham added a stark warning of consequences if Iran retaliates by targeting American interests. He suggested the United States should respond by obliterating Iran’s energy infrastructure.

“People are wondering if Iran will attack American military personnel or interests throughout the region because of Israel’s attack on Iran’s leadership and nuclear facilities,” Graham said Thursday night. “My answer is if they do, America should have an overwhelming response, destroying all of Iran’s oil refineries and oil infrastructure putting the ayatollah and his henchmen out of the oil business.”

Meanwhile, Secretary of State Marco Rubio clarified the U.S. role, stating that the United States was not involved in the recent strikes and warning Iran against targeting U.S. assets or personnel. “Iran should not target U.S. interests or personnel,” he said in an official statement.

Trump Urges Iran to Make a Deal

President Donald Trump weighed in on the developments Friday morning with a strongly worded message posted to Truth Social. In it, he reiterated his longstanding position that Iran should negotiate a deal, warning that failure to do so would lead to catastrophic consequences.

“I gave Iran chance after chance to make a deal. I told them, in the strongest of words, to ‘just do it,’ but no matter how hard they tried, they just couldn’t get it done,” Trump wrote. “Certain Iranian hardliners spoke bravely, but they didn’t know what was about to happen. They are all DEAD now, and it will only get worse!”

Trump continued by warning of further destruction if Iran refuses to come to the table. “There has already been great death and destruction, but there is still time to make this slaughter, with the next already planned attacks being even more brutal, come to an end,” he stated. “Iran must make a deal, before there is nothing left, and save what was once known as the Iranian Empire.”

The coordinated statements from senior U.S. officials illustrate rising tensions and a unified posture of support toward Israel as it confronts Iran. The coming days may prove decisive in shaping the next phase of U.S. involvement in the region’s unfolding conflict.
